You only have to be a taxpaying citizen of the United States and you have to meet specific requirements for application. For example, you will need to be of a certain age, income bracket, and so on to be eligible for certain grants.
Keep in mind there are different types of grants for seniors available depending on your profile. Also there is not one general profile for any grant. There are basically many different grants available across the board for the elderly. Obtaining theses grants for seniors may be a great way to start a new life.
Grants for seniors will also give seniors a better outlook and greater opportunity, as opportunities can dwindle the older we get. That being said a grant can open the doors to a new skill, a business opportunity, and extra finances and health and home service.
Though we are mostly looking at grants as something seniors can apply for we also need to be aware of the flipside which are grants for institutions and companies so that they may accept elderly workers (those 55 and above) and pay them competitive rates. The grants vary. Some can be applied for by companies and others are applied for by the elderly themselves.
